The 1PVM KS is DEZEGA’s self-rescuer with the longest duration. The 1PVM KS is used for long haul route evacuations and is suitable for everyday carrying on a shoulder belt or for storage in rescue chambers and changeover stations.

Its cylindrical case is highly resistant to mechanical stress with only one lid to help minimize the possibility of unsealing. This SCSR is equipped with an automatic starter as well as with anti-fogging goggles and optional moisture indicator, which allows the user visually to inspect the self-rescuer for tightness without additional equipment.

Users can learn how to operate the 1PVM KS unit by training with the self-rescuer 1T2. The training unit can be supplied with, if desired, 15- and 50-minute spare training regenerative cartridges for practice. When used with the unit, the 1T2 completely simulates the donning and breathing (O2, CO2 concentration, increasing inhaled air temperature and breathing resistance) of a real SCSR.

A new EC-type examination certificate for the 1PVM KS was issued in 2016.
